The 10-inch format?

I just sighted a must-have 10" on the Hitbound
label. I'm unfamiliar with this format. What
is the RPM speed of a 10"? Does this record fit
on the spindle just like an LP or does it need
an adapter like a 7"? I appreciate any advice
on this!

Most play at 45 rpm..
no adapter required..
Just like a 12" maxi single but a bit smaller!..
Most the time (but not always) there's a tune & its dub on each side, separated rather than extended..

its a bit of a mix though, most do play at 45 but there are some that play at 33, just like there are a few 7" records that play at 33.
Usually they will say on the vinyl, no adapter needed.
Occasionly extended versions, sometimes dub cuts. I like the 10" formatt, i think its a good size between the 7" and 12".
Shame i have never found a flight case made especially for 10"

I have some 10s and 12s that actually play at different speeds between the main and flip side! Yes, one side at 45rpm and another at 33rpm!
I never risk taking them out to play as I am paranoid of doing a 'John Peel' and playing one side atr the wrong speed!

Some 10s play 78rpm. But they are very old (50 years or more)

Just do a Soundman marking on the label Leggo and your set to play them out.

I admit that I have resorted to a few post-it stickers on some labels when playing out as I really struggle to read the labels in the dark due to my old age!
