It's for that price that a single was sold yesterday on eBay!

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... PIC&ih=015

Just have a listen to the sound clip, but to have a good idea why the single was sold for such a price, listen also to the B side.

Has anybody some informations on that single?
Have you ever seen it on eBay or where the bidder motivated by the fact that it never appeared on the website?

I know somebody who made a good business...

What a beauty... B side sounds like a version of Keith Wilson's "God I God I say", on Studio 1, which is almost as expensive...

Of what I know, this chune is known as the FIRST EVER roots reggae chune... And anbessa youre right, its the first version of "God I God I say", recorded before Keith Wilson

The friend who shared me the soundclip of this chune added: I guess this chune will never appear on ebay... and hopefully for your purse...

I wouldnt pay it that price but would really enjoy to play it... wicked wicked riddim!!!!!!!!!

I would love to know what Records By Mail paid for all of Bob's collection! I would even like to know how many there were in it originally?

I've been reliably informed that the Robert Schoenfeld collection, from whence this record came, numbered over 10,000 records! That's a big stack of records/cash!

Whoever he left the records to would have got the 'job lot' price. I've no idea how much that was. Records By Mail is a business, so of course they'll be doing their very best to turn them around for more than they paid.

I've tried hard to grab as many of the 12s and LPs as I can, but the prices have often gone well beyond my sky rocket.

I think it's a shame when a collection like this gets broken up. I wonder what has become of John Peel's collection?
