i hope that the forthcoming releases of Shalom dub and Deep Dub will happen.


what's going on at trojan ?

The assumption over at the Trojan board (which includes various people who have compiled releases for Trojan) seems to be that Universal is going forward with the projects that were already set to go, but probably the frequency of new releases will slow down.

September / October Trojan releases postponed

Trojan Records has delayed all its upcoming releases following the Universal/Sanctuary deal. Universal bought Sanctuary Records (the Trojan Records owner) for 45 Million pounds in June. During its restructuring a lot of the former Trojan collaborators have left the company, but the latest informations we have had lead us to believe Trojan should soon release new albums and keep their reissue program alive.

If they won't re-release them, then they should at least let them out on license for others to release. Too much good music being locked away or even lost.

yes, i hope for a proper re-release of shalom dub since years. the rhino cd was pain in the ass (no dynamic) and striker lee is re-releasing mediocre aggrovators instrumentals instead. why doesn't he put out the good stuff ? or has he forgotten about this ? sometimes i don't understand what he chooses for re-release.

also very interested in the deep dub box set, should be a good one, too ..........

AAA : TROJAN IS WELCOME IF THEY WANT TO REISSUE GREAT MUSIC BUT THEY GOT TO KEEP IN MIND THAT WE WANT THEY RAISE UP THE VOLUME WHY ALL TROJAN ISSUES (ALSO ON BLUE LABEL FOR WHAT I AM STARTING TO UNDERSTAND) ARE PRESSED AT SUCH A LOW VOLUME ?? WHY ON THE EARTH PLEASE ???????????????????????

i think the sound quality of the trojan releases (compared to others except blood&fire) is pretty good.

...the quality is not so bad, the problem is the output volume...try to get the dub box set (that i have) and u will see, unplayable on a sound system...
