I just brought Slim Smith "Resurrection" LP (I think its on Cousins)on ebay, after I committed to buy I noticed it was remixed by Mafia & Fluxy, Which sounds a little dodgy. Have they mess with the sound or is the real deal?

Thanks (In advance)

They relick the rydims and mix it into the sound of today.
Sly & Robbie did't the same way ina early '80 with the same songs.

Coxsone did't ina 80 relick & remix old tunes in the sound of the day.

Sounds like a retake on Slim Smith "Dancehall Connection" which is Slim's original vocals over recuts of the rhythms.

Just heard this via Last FM, and then saw this link to one of my favourite places, not sure how old this thread is, but avoid this album like the plague... weak beyond belief in my opinion.
