Today I went with my class to a show called "Jamaïque Odyssée" in Vannes, Britanny, France. A french band , Orange Street, gave a wonderful historical panorama of jamaican music, from the buru/nyahbinghi music, through ska, rocksteady, early reggae, roots, dub, dancehall & ragga.
The band also explained the evolution of jamaican music
in a historical, sociological way. The kids had a very good response & enjoyed themselves a lot.

If you are a french teacher in primary school & if the show comes across your town, don't miss it.

Big up Orange Street & thanks for the good vibes.

One Love

Yes !! I confirm this is a killer show, I saw it in december 2006 in Paris. It's very sensible and there's no bad taste at all, simplified a bit to be understandable by kids from primary school to high school too, really interesting, even for adults.
I saw it alone, I was just curious to see them in a theater way and i remember kids were really happy after the show.

Moreover, Orange Street is an excellent band with talented musicians, put an ears on their work and check [their site](http://orange.street.free.fr/). I especially love the album called Step In (their first), wicked instrumentals notably.
