OK CAN SOME ONE PLEASE TELL ME WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED TO EARTH AND STONE I HEARD THEY DISSAPERED AFTER KOOL ROOTS BUT WHY OR WHAT HAPPENED CAN ANYONE HELP PLEASE?

yeah , the kool roots double lp
was great. i think the vocal duo took a
break for a few years, then around 1983 or
1984, they recorded a few singles.
they were released on the clinch label.
although, nothing matched up to there
singles from 1978 & 1979.

do u know what singles they were and y did they break if i personally think they sound better than any other harmony group bands out there.

They also have tunes on some compilations for- Joe Gibbs-"Wicked haffi Dress Back" on United Dreadlocks
Sonia Pottinger-"No Time to Lose" on Reggae Train,
the dub is on "Dub Over Dub" on Heartbeat
Channel One- "Give Me" on Well Charged
I agree these brethen are heavy- "IN TIME TO COME" is well crucial.

On the subject of Earth & Stone- can anyone tell me what is the riddim that "Wicked Haffe Dress Back" is on. It reminds me of "Woman is Like A Shadow". Also the I-Roy cut "Trust No Shadow After Dark" on Top Ranking DJ Session(vol 1) kind of reinforces this suspicion. Are there 2 versions of "Woman"?

SORRY DUDE I WOULDNT KNOW. HEY THE SONG "YOU'LL COME RUNNING" DOSNT THE MIGHTY DIAMONDS SING THAT SONG AS WELL OR DONT THEY SING A SONG WITH THAT BEAT?

IVE HAD THAT CD FOR THE LAST 5 YEARS YEAH IT SOUNDS KINDA STUDIO ONE ISH THEIR SINGLES AND KOOL ROOTS WAS MADE AT THE ONLY BAD ASS STUDIO "CHANNEL ONE STUDIO" BACKED BY THE MIGHTY REVOLUTIONARIES!
I WOULD HAVE TO SAY THAT SATTA AMASSAGNA AND BLACK MAGIC WOMAN IS THEIR BESTEST AND GREATEST HIT EVER NO DOUBT ABOUT IT.
