I know there are some posts here about which albums he did the art for, but does anybody have any info on the man himself? I'd really like to get ahold of him for some commercial work for my record label but I can't find any info anywhwere. Any leads are appreciated.

While this thread is up and runing, I am going to ask a question regarding one of Wilfred Limonious album covers.
On Robert Ffrench album "The Favorite", can anyone supply a connection between the album cover where the guy is sitiing on the horse and the rear cover with Limonious drawing of the woman with her backside sticking out ??
It is one I find strange and have always wondered what, if anything, is the connection.

dear rootsman,
would you be willing to sell that one? will pay a fair price for you and i. let i know.
As far your question about the cover im really not sure what you want to know.. i think limonious just likes to draw women and their bootys.

Natty Dread,
It was just a question out of curiosity, with most of his album cover drawings there is some connection with the album title. For instance
Horace Martin "Watermelon Man" where one guy has his hands round another guys neck. (My all time fav sketch)
"Pad Anthony meets King Everald" where they are about to draw microphones.
With "The Favorite" no such connection, sorry if i`m being irrelevent, I have just always wondered.
PS, cannot sell.

I found this thread while searching google for a forum or website which recently started a limonius thread or section but failed to find the website.
Just wanted to add that Limonius was in fact the Gleaners resident cartoonist back in the early days so i guess u will find lots more by him in the gleaners archives.

The "Favourite" on the cover is a thoroughbred horse, as is the woman on the back cover. The jockey is "riding the favourite" on the cover. Now let your imagination do the rest.

i have this album. there is a big, big connection with the album cover, because the jockey on the horse is Robert Ffrench.
