Ras Ibi "Turn To The Hills"??

Does anybody know about this artist & album?I have a couple of tracks that are very roots indeed but don't know the backing band or the year of the production.Also i don't find it in the archives info.Here is a link at the disc:

Sorry to bother i make a search after the post and notice that already the issue was post.The man is from Finland and is more modern than i expected.Anyway other info would be apreciated

I can give you a little information about Ras Ibi:
Ras Ibi (Max Ohvanainen a.k.a. I-Max) was born in Sweden. Nowadays he lives in Ethiopia.
In 1997 the Dutch reggae label King Shiloh Records released a double A side 12inch featuring Ras Ibi, produced by the talented Majestic Warriors (from Germany).
In 2000 the tune 'Black Before Creation' was released as a 7inch on the Fiyah Red label. This one produced by the Ital Yard Crew ... probably recorded in Ethiopia.
The Ras Ibi album 'Turn To The Hills', contains the tune 'Black Before Creation'. The year of production must be 2000.

Probably born in Finland. He lived in Sweden.

I discovered Ras Ibi, by chance in my local reggae record shop- and managed to get the CD of Turn to the Hills.
I have been looking for other material since and have had no luck. The only place I have found some of his stuff in on Youtube.
Check out his song "Battle of Adowa" both in regular and dub versions.
Does anyone know how to get hold of more of his music??

Best tune IMO is Trod On from the above mentioned King Shiloh 12" - very hypnotic. Glad to hear he made it to Ithiopia.

just got that ''turn to the hills'' cd the other day after years of searching! amazing stuff, gives strenght to manage thru finlands ice cold and pitchblack dark winter days... peace to shantih, say greetings to ras ibi

I think it's a really great album. Been listening to the CD a lot some months ago. He isn't the most polished singer but the vibes are there.
