looking for some dub albums(1970's) with emphasis on vocal delay...some dubs strip all the vocals, but some others slip in the vocals more frequently, and that's what im looking for. prince jammy seemed to put a bit more emphasis on vocal echo, but there's got to be more.
peace

You may be right there staas1. But three is heavy with vocals. I'll check 4 later to see if it is vocal-less as you say.

Hi there Dubs_West,

Cry Tuff Chapter 2 is superb. While Chapters 1,3 and 4 take all the glory, this one remains really good. I'm not sure if you are looking for cd or lp. When Cd, part of CTDE 2 is on Dubwise compilation, but the track names are mixed and not all original dubs are there...

I hope I helped…

Melonhead i got a few:

King Tubby-Penwood Walk ;This album has got quite alot of vocal within it`s dub, a great album.

Dennis Brown-Dennis Brown in dub ;Alot of Dennis Browns vocals entering in and out of the songs.

Yabby You-Dub it to the top 1975-1979 ;A classic album from the late seventies but unfortunately not enough vocal.

Israel Vibration:Israel in dub ;A good dub album the first three songs on this album are good with the vocals but not enough vocals throughout the album unlike there other album Vibration in dub.

Some albums from the eighties with vocal in there dub:

Burning Spear Living Dub vol.One and Two are amazing albums with powerful and deep vocals in them.I found that the Living Dub vol 1 and 2 on the Heart Beat label remixed by Barry O Hare wich for me are the best versions.Powerful vocals

Israel Vibration-Vibration in dub ;Got amazing bursts of vocal in most of the songs.

Hope this helps a bit.

Respect and guidance

Rasta.

Chapter Two is possibly the best of the series.

It isn't actually *that* rare as it is a Virgin issue and was very popular at the time of issue. Most of the people I knew (who were into reggae) had this in their record stack back in the day.

You can trust this seller:

He has this record on sale with one day left to go.

you might really like
i-roy original dj at king tubby's studio
or
toyan how the west was won

neither are true dub albums, not as heavy as far i but are vocals with heavy downbeat. scientist mixed the toyan album.

if you aren't sure about what far i to get with vocals, the heavy manners anthology is actually very good with many tracks and a is good place to start.
