Which is the best Cry Tuff Dub Encounter?

This is a great series but i only have Cry Tuff Dub Encounter chapter 1.I would like to know brethren wich is your favorite chapter of this series?, followed up with your thoughts on the other chapters.

to me for hard drivng funny sound effects, volume 2 with prince jammys @ the controls.

One is brilliant, dark moody and a generally superb production.
Two follows suit, is heavy dub, less dark maybe. Superb effects. No collection should be without it.
Three is a departure from the style of the other two. It was more up to date (at the time) and has lots of effects (which I think were added in London). It has a slightly British reggae feel to it. You should like it, but just because you like One it won't follow you'll like Three.
Four is spacey. There's some great horns work by Deadly Headly who was touring with the Prince at the time. He stole the show (for me at least) when we saw them at UCL London in (I think) 1981. It took some doing to steal a show from Prince Far I, believe me. Lots of congo drumming (again, a feature at that incredible live show). Possible the most under-rated of the four?
But, as I said in a another post. Don't forget Dub To Africa and the Creation Rebel LP which is very much the predecessor to Cry Tuff Chap One:

They're all good, but I think Chapter 2 has the strongest riddims and best overall mixing. Chapter 4 is definitely underrated.

Buy ´em all! For me it is impossible to choose a personal favourite.
When it was IV for a couple of years, I´m still undecided, whether it is II or ´Dub to Africa´ this year...

In fact, buy anything with Prince Far I on it. There's not much chance of disappointment.

I agree - get what you can with Prince Far I, everything is superb.
Except this compilation: [cover=5721,4293] which is a false attempt to get some cash from Prince Far I fans...
