re-press, re-issue - name those with poor quality

I have a repress of Barrington Levi Bounty Hunter.

Jah Life JLLP 001, Matrix JW 001 A / B. Label White and RED with H.I.M portrait.

Great chunes, resonable pressing quality (no drop-outs etc) but AWFUL quality sound reproduction.

I can't listen to music being murdered like this.

Sounds like it was mastered off a well worn cassette tape (maybe it was)

Anyone wanna list similar BAD re-issues so we can all avoid buying them!

I bought the reissue of Cornell Campbells album Money on L&L. The music is vibrating all the way through. It goes up and down in volume with a quite high frequency. REALLY disturbing. Killer album otherwise :(

My copy of JC on Weed Beat is ok except the last song on one side (from memory) has a "swish" running thru it.

Yes my volcano & powerhouse are mostly bad press especially Powerhouse LP's, mustblion.

Also 1 side of Sly & Robbie Gamblers Choice LP on Taxi is un listenable.

Also 1 side of Big Youth/V/A - Chi Chi Run - Prince Buster LP has bad mastering with a bad crunching noise through every track on the B side except the last track.

Anybody know if the recent repress is any better?????
