Hi every body.
I'm just coming in.....and want to know something.
I am a fan Uk vintage roots and lover's rock. In my collection I 've got a 7" with blank label and it's written "Reach dem jah" "steel pulse" . but i 've never heard or read about it anywhere.
Obviously it's not david hinds at lead vocal.
So does someone know this record? Is it really Steel pulse, could it be basil Gabbidon at the lead vocal at the birth of band. Because the recording seems to be before 1978.
Please help me if someone knows about it. Thanks

Ok you mean he sang on "Kibudu, Mansetta and Abuku"
....I never heard ythis tune whera can i finfd a sample of this....so I maybe could try to compare the voice....

One of the hardest items of Steel Pulse memorabilia to find is the band's first-ever single, Kibudu-Mansatta-Abuku, released in 1976 on the Concrete Jungle label by DIP Records. Just 1,000 copies of the single were pressed and are virtually impossible to track down. It was written by Ronnie McQueen with Selwyn Brown singing the main vocals. A Mansatta instrumental version appeared on the B-side. It's never appeared on any of the band's albums.
