i read a thread on here a few weeks ago about abraham records being a bootleg record company, does this apply for all of their releases or just recent releases?

Common belief is that all Abraham output is bootleg, whether or not it has the Clocktower logo on the back. These tend to be the poor quality represses you find in stores around the world. Whether you want to buy them or boycott them is a matter for your own conscience I suppose.
Clocktower was the original label back in the 1970s that is now being plundered by Abrahams and that back then was under different ownership. Most people, but not all, consider the original presses to have been legitimate. But the owner passed away a long time ago and you only find original Clocktowers on eBay now anyway so if you see those going cheap step in and grab me a copy too!

Original Clocktowers tend to be rather good pressings.
Repro Clocktowers on the Abrahams label are sometimes good, but also sometimes very poor.

i noticed that, all my real clocktower records sound much better than the abraham pressings. i noticed on the aggrovators reggae stones dub abraham release that it was very poor quality and some of the songs were qued in at the wrong time. if you have the abraham reissue on vinyl you know what im talking about.

To quote Junior Murvin, he's a Hustler for sure. I think he may have rights for, like 2% of what he puts out, but most if not all is bootlegged. Very affable guy otherwise. Had quite the stocked warehouse years back, but me and couple of my boys took care of that.

As far as cd's are concerned, I have yet to see a Clocktower CD release that doesn't have the Abraham logo imprint on it.

This Clocktower CD definitely doesn't have an Abraham logo on it;

I remember reading an interview with the Blood and Fire management, they said Bunnie Lee had approached them to try to get them to stop Abrams(Abrahams) bootlegging his stuff.
