I'm sure everyones seen these already but...

Just curious if anyone scored a hit or if this is a total waste of money.

I did order some 45 labeled 'VERY WORN & NOISY'.

First was the Mellowlads - Babylon A Run Come (High Note).
It came absolutely inaudible/unplayable.
Worst record i've ever spun in my life. Scuffed to heck.
Total waste of $1.99.


But then my order was redeemed.
Horace Andy - World In My Arms (Well Charge)
Pretty good condition, definitely playable and well worth the $1.99.

Please post your experiences, love to hear about what gems or duds have been discovered.

i spent about 40 bucks on them, havent recieved yet, but hopefully it isnt a total waste

seems to me like a huge waste to buy something described as very noisy

i'll probably add a couple to a future order to see if i have any luck with it

i know that some of them are unplayble anymore, but between 10 flop you might get some nice tune

but that's $20 for one good tune and a pile of garbage!

you're probably better off bidding $20 on a 7" on ebay, that way you know what you're getting and what shape it's in

of course, gambling is fun and i'm intrigued with the random 45 thing and want to try for myself, despite knowing it'll most likely be a waste

probably got my moneys worth with a few original press in playable condition, but nothing too exciting..

i wanted to gamble off some more money on them, but i have a bad feeling it could only get worse...

I ordered 6 random records and 2 random oldies.

Out of the 6 random records, 4 of them were enjoyable, all fairly recent records (no represses) and two others were in the garbage pile. The two random oldies were pretty beat up. One of them was playable with a few scratches (bad scratches at certain spots, but the other one was trashed beyond repair, so its in the garbage. Good thing, the one playable record was actually a record I was looking for... so who knows, it is a gamble, but sometimes it can pay off! Worth a shot if you have some spare change.
