Mandingo Hot Steppers 'Afrikan History' is a roots collection of Mandingo Williams' productions. If you like early 1980s stuff then this one's recommended.
Memory of Justice Band is a very enjoyable (though hard to find) album produced by Sly and Robbie. This one has some synthesized/pre-digital sounds like some of Ini Kamoze's stuff from the 'Statement' album.

Afrikan History has some great rhythms but the mixing (done by Maxie & Soljie) is sometimes a bit too much. It is still a dub album worth to have but it could have been much better with a bit more sublime or down to basic mixing.

I unfortunately haven't heard any of the others.

Lillian Allen is dub poetry backed with that early 80's live reggae band sound.

Investigators is early 1980s lovers rock. Kind of soapy imho.

No, this album is a much better listening effort IMO.
