Hello, This is my first time here on RAF. Recently I was going through my vinyl collection and found the following reggae items.

1. "Knotty (sic) Screw Face" Yvonne Harrison b/w "Face Dub" Underground Express - Mart's records

2. "Grandfather's Clock" Rupie Edwards Allstars
b/w "Promoter's Grouse" - Success Records

3. "The Liquidator" The Jay Boys b/w "Don't Call Me" King Cannon - Harry J's REcords

4. "Don't Cut Off Your Dreadlocks" Linval Thompson b/w A King Tubby Version - Clocktower Records

5. "Right Time"? Mighty Dread b/w "Right Version"
- Impact Records

6. "Showers of Rain" Derrick Morgan b/w "Seven Letters - Carib Dis Co label

7. "Penitentiary" Nigger Kojak b/w "GP Rock" - Nigger Kojak REcords

8. "Feelin' High" LP Columbia House Compilation 1975 2 of 3 discs

All of these were bought by my sister in the SF bay area in the mid 70's. The 45's are in good shape especially since they were pressed 30 years ago. The LP is the best collection of reggae I've ever heard and has the killer tune "Weather Report" by The Tennors. It also has several Ken Boothe tunes including "Silver Words" Freddie Mackay's "Picture on the Wall", "Rasta no born Yah" by Sang Hugh etc etc. These two LPs are all I have. The third disc is gone. It had a picture of a Shanty town on the cover. The one I have has a girl in a wet Feelin' High T-shirt standing in the surf.

Anyone know about the above items? Comments? Questions?

I know that (IMHO) just about everything I've ever heard by Linval Thompson is worth owning...

...And that you should add the cover artwork of the Feeling High LP to the sexual covers thread by the sound of it!

Haven't heard all of them but you've got some real killers there. I've always loved Penitentiary by Nigger Kojak! And the linval chune is also a classic!

I wish I had a sister/brother that could have bought records years ago and given them to me!

Thats not the best part. She took me to see Toots and the Maytals at SF's Winterland and Bob Marley at the Paramount in Oakland. Thanks sis!
