Heard a track played today titled Brutal by the Itals from an album called Brutal out deh. Don`t know much about them. Is this album good and are there any other albums by them worth picking up.

I agree with Titus. But I'd also add "Give Me Power"

This is some of the best roots music of the 1980's IMO. "Material Gain" is a beautiful tune that has long been on my compilations. "Physical Pollution" is right up there with it. But the whole album is great IMO. Strictly Classical Roots Harmony, no electric drums, etc.
"Rasta Philosophy" is also a nice record.

Unfortunately it only has 6 tracks (Jamaican Style & Dub listed on RA isn't on my LP) as Nighthawk was wont to do at times-i.e. Jr. Byles "Rasta No Pickpocket"- and could benefit from some dubs. That being said this is still a nice record.
While on the subject of Nighthawk records and the Itals I'd also HIGHLY recomend the following compilations:
WISER DREAD-

CALLING RASTAFARI-
http://www.roots-archives.com/release/2122#rel1989
KNOTTY VISION-
http://www.roots-archives.com/release/1260#rel1150
All contain tunes by the I-Tals as well as great singles from the like of Culture, Jackie Brown, Sang Hugh,Little Roy, Morwells and great extended singles from Bunny Wailer & Burning Spear.
Hope you find this helpful,
PAPA D

you can thank PAPA D for his comments, I really agree with these appreciations. "Material gain, is nothing to gain, if you don't have yourself, you got nothing to gain" truthfull.
Live up big humanity tree !
