good maanin'

i am looking for a free editor , no trial, just free.

important to me is:

change file extension from big to low
delete from position "x to xx"
add text at position


and the best ting would be when this software would work with any file from mp3 to jpg

With jpg??? Or you mean MPEG?

pc. mostly mp3 & wav.

but i need to edit jpgs sameway, not the grafix just the file names, mp3 sameway only files names.

something like a file renamer.

Sorry but I don't understand how you need a software to edit filenames?

Or do you mean bulk, or batch, editing?

i mean like make all files have the same word in front of the number and stuff like dat.

like this:

before editing: 431.jpg

after editing: artist_431.jpg

sameway mp3 and wave

you can download Goldwave (www.goldwave.com). They let you use it for free for quite some time counting the number operations you have done so far.

For mp3 you also have to download soemthing called lame which is free. This is explained on the Goldwave website.

You can open most types of audio files and save it in a different format afterwards.

Works ok.
