Can anyone tell me if the Roots Techniques compilation album on the Pressure Sounds label is worth picking up. I`ve heard its got some good tracks, but I am only familiar with a couple of them.

Also anyone tell me where I might get a copy of Sly and Robbie present the soulful Al campbell on CD. The original album release was titled Ain`t that loving you. Tried the usual sites without any luck

Thanks once again

Clare

Carlos

Thanks for your help, the Johnny Osbourne and the Interns tracks are the two that I know. I have gone with your judgement and ordered the CD today.

Yes I, this one is a must fi true. Excellent rhythms, and heartfelt roots singing at its best. My personal favourites from the compilation are Zion I by Ansel & Winston along with the divinely beautiful Don't Mock Jah by Donovan Adams. Version of the latter is not a bit less stunning.

Personally, I favour Jimmy Riley's Prophecy over Johnny Osbourne's cut to the same riddim. Somehow, it seems to carry a more dense and a more spiritual vibration.

Just heard that the "Zion I" is re-pressed on Techniques 7".
