help newcomer

I had listened to mainly 70's funk and soul and though i had been aware of Bob Marley's music, of course, i hadn't been into reggae very much. But now i've been listening to lots of Bob Marley's records and tried to find similar good older reggae records. I've found Peter Tosh, Bunny Wailer, Third World, Dennis Brown, then i glanced through these fine pages of Roots-Archives and understood that i am total newcomer to reggae.
I'd like to get some recommendations where to begin and which artists and records to listen to.

Just dip in anywhere. If you have a taste for this music you will struggle to find much you don't like.

But maybe try some Linval Thompson or Don Carlos, nice place to start!
