Today i want to know your 5 best producer in roots
Mine in no particular order:
1)Lee "scratch" perry
2)Clement "coxsone" Dodd
3)Jackie Mittoo
4)Rupee Edwars
5)Augustus Pablo
6)Sly & Robbie
Damn did i say five. I have so much more to mention..LOL

There are just too many. I love the work of Bunny Lee, Joe Gibbs,the Hoo Kims, Coxone but i feel these I've listed are more hands on producers resulting in uniquely identifiable sounds IMO. Just SOME OF my favorites that I feel are often overlooked in no particular order:
Glen Brown
Yabby You
Keith Hudson
Harry Mudie
Jack Ruby
(I also put Scratch, Niney, Augustus Pablo in with these guys-but they get their due more often.)
For dancehall style I'd go with:
JUNJO- The Don
Linval Thompson
Prince Jammy
Don Mais
Jah Thomas
