Does anyone know of any dubs or discomixes or versions of "Ain't No Sunshine" by Ken Boothe, or more importantly if they exist on CD? I found Ken Boothe & U-Roy "Ain't No Sunshine" (10 Inch Single Mix) on jamrid.com and was wondering if it appears on a CD. As always thank you in advance.

There's a JAh Lloyd dub cut, maybe someone spliced them together.

actually, it's a cut with Douglas (not Ken) Boothe and Jah Lloyd, the voice is clearly different (and not as beautiful). Quite a good cut but not essential IMO.
I guess he's calling himself Boothe coz he made several covers of Boothe. Ain't no sunshine by the mighty Ken Boothe already being a cover of Bill Withers' one.
If there's a cut with Ken Boothe, I'm really curious.
Btw, there's a list here :

hope it helps !

Thanks to everyone for the help. I have a couple of the H. Andy cuts, but I would love an exteneded/DJ mix of the K. Boothe version, one of my absolute favorite songs.
Anyway, thanks again.

The Sunshine Girl Herbs Of Dub track on the reissue CD isn't Ken Boothe, as mentioned above. It was originally on Soldier Round The Corner LP but has a DJ toast with Dr Alimantado (?). This version was released as the flip to the Douglas Booth Sunshine Girl single (Team W 8018) and credited to Francis All Stars
A version of the Ken Boothe cut was on a Blood & Fire comp called Darker Than Blue - Soul From Jamdown (1973-80)- BAFCD36 but with strange double tracked vocal (at least on the copy I've heard)
Only version I've got is on a Splash 7inch - FLC7854
A - Ken Boothe - Ain't No Sunshine
B - Version
There was a Riddim album release in 2001 based on this tune and the best Dub of Ain't No Sunshine, in my opinion, is by Scientist on the Dub In The Roots Tradition comp - wonderful!
Dub On!

I never claimed the Herb Man cut to be Ken Boothe, simply that someone may have spliced the Ken Booth and Jah Lloyd cut together.
