The Dub version for Ten Commandments album title track is Homeward Bound from Cry Tuff Dub Chpt 3.From Prince far tribute website http://www.princefari.com/main.htm it says its vocal track is Deck of life.I listened to it its one and the same track.

Question:Which is the correct naming of the vocal track for 'Homeward bound'?Ten Commandments or deck of life?

I always thought Deck Of Life = Deck Of Cards. Far I adapted the lyrics from an old country song (that was itself based on a historical prayer book) and recited them over the SATTA riddim.

So if Homeward Bound is on Satta riddim then Deck Of Life is correct. But I haven't heard Ten Commandments so that could be right too if it's also on Satta.

Coz "Ten Commandments" nuh is on Satta riddim
In any case, "Deck Of Cards" an "Homeward Bound" are based on same Prince Far I´s Satta riddim both although "Homeward Bound" nuh hav vocal snippets, almost double lenght an add more instruments ina mix like flute. Therefore nuh exactly a version of "Deck Of Cards"
"Commandments Of Drug" is on same riddim dat "The Visitor" from Cry Tuff Dub Encounters Chapter 1. Dis riddim is based also on Satta

i also have been searching for a dub version of prince far i and have not found the tune since i heard it in 1989...
from what i remember, only drum and bass and far i.
starts off with "nuclear weapons..."
very heavy.

It is the Dub track to JAH WILL PROVIDE from JAMAICAN HEROES
and HOMEWARD BOUND is the Dub of Deck of Life also on Jamaican Heroes.

10 Commandments is a slapped together album with tracks from 3 different albums and has new made up titles so do not put too much credit into it.

thanks for the reply. but i have to say, i own chap 3 and its not on that album. i have only heard it on a mix from a dub show in the 80's that my buddy's brother made. i have yet to find this recording since. i am pretty positive it was far i.

that must be it. i cant find it anywhere, been looking off n on for almost 20 years. that remix sounds about the right time it came out.
my buddy's brother was a reggae/dub dj in nyc at the time and named this show "on-u-dub"
i wish i still had that cassette but it got ripped off. i'll find that track someday...
