Im trying to work out versions, pressings, rhythms, etc.. to these tunes.

#1: Icho Candy - Cool Down Sufferer (i have a version of this on an old tape, but i believe its different from the telsa 7", which other records have the same rhythm or was there a 12" of this one released with a different rythm?)

#2: Dr Alimantado - Born For a Purpose (i have this one on channel 1 7". But im sure its different from the release i have heard before, did anyone else cover this or are there any other releases)

#3: Hopeton Lindo - African Choice (whats the difference between the 12" on Gussie and the 12" on Two friends?)

#4: Gregory Isaacs - There Will Be Nobody Else (I've never seen this one come up, does anyone have it and if so, what is it on, 7? 12? label, etc?)

#5: Twinkle Brothers - Babylon a Fight (same question as above)

Sorry for the bombardment of questions, i've been thinking about a few of these for a while.

#1 has also been released on 12" (Virgin) with dub and deejay cut (also by 'tado). Perhaps you've heard one of those.

#5 Babylon a fight was recorded by Alla (not Prince!) but the same rhythm has also been used by the Twinkle Brothers with the song Enter Zion. Babylon A Fight has been released on 7" (Grounation and Twinkle labels) and also on an LP-collection. Enter Zion has been released on the LP with the same title (Twinkle label)

Cool, that clears up the twinkle brothers one, doesnt seem to hard to find.
The tube by tado is the second on the greensleeves one, the "reason for living" track, i remember those lines very clearly..
Id be interested in knowing if the selah dub is the same as the one im looking for, i have the tune ready for upload if you wouldnt mind listening and confirming?

Any ideas on the gregory + Lindo ones?

yes sure...i can listen and tell u if it's the same cut. I read on ebay that the tesfa 7'' has bad press.

I'd like to rip you the B side of the Selah 12'' but for 5 or 6 days i can't rip!

Icho Candy - Cool Down Sufferer (Tesfa blank 1989 7")

i think that the 97/98 is a reissue of that 1989 7'',i've seen it recently on ebay
