"Psychedellic Rock" is that the original track?
so we have 3 tune so far:
Prince Francis - rock Fort Rock
Prince Jazzbo - Rock Fort Dub
Soul Vendors - Psychedellic Rock
its wicked cause i remember when all young selectas used to think thersx only armageddon time on real rock and then version after version it pop up back reid, silvertones, and some more. so now i wonder about rockfort rock, there must be more same way.

No, "Psychedelic Rock" is a different tune!!
"Rockfort Rock" has a lot of versions. On one of the "Sounds & Pressure" compilations on Pressure Sounds is a real funky tune on this riddim: "Black Belt Jones" I forget the artist.
Also, there is a wicked 7 minute instrumental (featuring nice horns from ao Tommy McCook) on a Jack Ruby compilation CD ("Black Foundation") called "Free Rhodesia".

Is there an earlier version by Skatalites ?

Psychedelic Rock is a different tune, no? At least there is another Sound Dimension/Soul vendors tune called "Psychedelic Rock" with a little vocals that go "Psychedelic rock is coming down". This tune is a different riddim than "Rockfort Rock"

well people if we are talking about the versions cut at studio one sorry but there's no other else.
of course some other producers used the same bassline (joe gibbs with big youth if I'm not wrong etc) on tracks but if you check the title of the thread I think DonDigital was asking about studio one stuff.
studio one rockfort rock versions are:
- instrumental
- instrumental with intro
- jazzbo's cut
- prince francis cut
and that's it!
