MTV,greed, immature parental skills, babies having babies, poverty, credit, lack of respect and as Religion is being removed from society (here in UK for sure),a lack of respect for the Creator.

John Public tinks he can do what he wants when he wants, buy now pay later, breed up de gal and shift to de next one, leave de yute to grow with no male role model except footballers and MTV rap stars.....what was the question again!

All parents,we have a responsibility to da yute we bring into dis world, don't leave it to the tell-lie-vision and mainstream radio, blaze up that conscious Reggae Music around the house daily and loud and make sure they witness some proper live shows from a young age.I see this happening in France, Germany and Italy and may not be the answer to all of the problems but is a good start.

In the 70's and early 80's consciousness was in fashion,we have to make it fashionable again!

How can consciousness be a thing of the past? We are talking about it and it continues to be produced. The masses don't embrace consciousness now, but soon come. To quote Jah Titus: "Consciousness lives itinually' Yes I

Oras is right imo,

I think to much youth are growing up not being taught what the real important things are in life.

It seems to me that today there is too much importance put into material wealth and that what you have is more important than who you are..

To have the most, the biggest and the best gains more respect than the person that you are.

Amongst todays youth, respect is no longer gained through showing love and humility but through what you have, what you carry and to what lengths you are prepaired to go to gain respect and be "The Man".

I think consciousness is still around us but lives within the lives of fewer people.

I have always lived in London and I have seen first hand over the years how peoples attitudes, especially the younger generation, have changed.

No discipline, no manners, no true respect, no humility and no love except for what they own.
