buddy miles was a great drummer who passed away last thursday evening at home surrounded by family.
he was not a reggae drummer but was key in the blues, funk, rock, and jazz worlds.
known mostly for his beats with the electric flag, delfonics, jimi hendrix, and carlos sanatana, buddy was a powerhouse of rythm.
he will be missed by many people across the globe...

buddy miles with jimi hendrix was the BEST! the band of gypsy's -- jimi hendrix, buddy miles, and billy cox. I've always thought they had a better sound than the jimi hendrix experience. "band of gypsy's" and the more recently released "live at fillmore east" are my favorite hendrix albums. buddy's song "dem changes" is a great one. thanks for paying tribute super ape.
