Greetings!
Does anyone know or have the album by Susan Cadogan? I believe that there may have been some lesser known Lee Perry produced tracks on it, but wanted to confirm. I came across this album on EBay around a year ago, selling for a very high 'buy it now' price.. I think around $800. Any killers on this album? Is the track "I love my Life" on this LP?.. I think it was on a Black Wax 7" a while back.. A very nice and slightly haunting track.. Thanks for the help.
Roots,

I have a 7 inch on Total Sounds titled "Love of my Life" that is an obvious tripped-out Perry production whcih isn't on the LP.

...I mis-read your post, but somehow that is the exact 7 inch you're looking for. Yeah, great track and for some reason the 7 inch is thick and very robust sounding.

Hello Jordandance,
Thanks for the info! Hmmm.. Total Sounds you say. I'll have to look into it. I wonder if there are any comparable productions to this on the LP I mentioned. I believe that this LP was indeed produced by Lee Perry but I'm not sure. Many Thanks.

This says it's produced by (DJ) Jerry Lewis, who wrote the tune, and that Perry was in the studio when they recorded it and decided to sign her on the basis of the recorded. Don't know how true this is, but I do know the single has Perry written (sonically) all over it and I doubt he was simply "there" when it was recorded.

... Jordan is absolutely right, Mister Vibes cant be anyone else than Lee Perry now can it, btw it's Susan's first for the Upsetter ... for you guys info, where the Total Sounds already exists in 2 different mixes (other matrix besides the one Jordan mentions, is TS 4449 A / 4450 B RRS); the Black Wax can come in two tastes also (both WAX 02 on label): # LYN 3052 has the "regular" mono mix, while # LYN 3116 sports a FANTASTIC separated stereo mix ...
Sexy Suzy album on UK Upsetter Records btw is not one hair different from the Trojan issue, no different trackorder, mix or whatever ...

I also once saw it on ebay ( on a white label ) The seller asked 1000 dollars...
He claimed that he bought it at Brads New York, just before the shop closed.

I have all the 7's I want of hers, so I've never really paid attention to the album, but now that I look at her she is quite the beautiful Sexy Suzi isn't she.
