There is need to bring back reggae as a mainstream music. Remember the seventies and eighties Burning Spear, Bob Marley & The Wailers, Peter Tosh, Bunny Wailer, Third World, Misty in Roots to name but a few. You could hear the sound in every city on every continent. Trust me, I wet to Lahore in Pakistan and there they were dancing to the reggae vybz. A friend from Sri Lanka tells me Bob Marley is still blarring from the juke box in that small island. People in Zimbabwe want more reggae to rock to, Nigeria and Kenya are the same.
