The saddest moment occurred in my life today when I attempted to remove a record from a box. I pulled too hard and it cracked the record all the way to the middle. The record plays but their is a popping noise everytime it hits that spot. What can I do? Anything? Can it be repaired. This record is very rare and I'm very sad because it's nearly IMPOSSIBLE to find. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't think there's so much you can do actually. What record was it?

I got a really rare Hudson LP in the post recently - one I've never actually heard. It arrived in two bits. It's heart breaking that a record is looked after and preserved for maybe 30 years, only to be ruined in 30 seconds.

Anyone have an MP3 of Keith Hudson Steaming Jungle so I can hear what I have missed? Or even the LP you wanna sell?

copy an paste this an yuh will find a replacement fe the hudson yuh cracked. it pon ebay fe $17.80, the seller is located in the netherlands. 6 days to bid.

anedda ting mi could a suggest, bout the cracked record. ca mi have 45 7" dat both bruk fram the beginning to the label. extremely rare, but mi jus haffe wait til mi find anedda copy. for the time being, mi nah really know how it a effect an LP ca 45 's dem mi dealt with. but i taped up the beginning a the crack. an mek it completely flush with the hol crack. yours have more range a space an might not wuk. try it anyway. if yuh lose the bid fe the LP. i can get mp3 recording for yuh. i dun have dem right now. jus tell mi yuh situation. anedda ting, when yuh tryin to fix the crack, try fe placing the lp pon yuh turntable, an press against the cracks til yuh rub yuh fingure pon it an yuh feel no edge to it, strictly flush, then tape up th edge also mi suggest tape up the end of the crack, yuh know before the label. should fasten securely.
