i look forward to listening to this cd tonight i got it for 4 pounds today , any idea if its good? version riddims should be good, as its a 1981 release. i like the way don carlos uses vocal followed by a version cut on many of his albums.

Please let me know what you think. I have been debating on whether to buy this as well. You got a very good deal on this! When I saw it on Amazon, the sellers wanted mad money for it ($20.00 to $30.00 USD).

It's my all time favourite vocal album. Bought it when it first came out and still think it is incredible. (Mind you, I know it as "Suffering").

I really don't think it gets any better than this.

By the way the CD looks well iffy to me. You'll know what I mean when you receive it.

HUGE Don Carlos fan here, it gets top marks from me! This is also available on Emusic.com too! Another great one by Don Carlos is "Plantation"...

6anbatte..yeah the cd does look kinda tacky with a naff inside to the sleeve, ie just a few notes on the musicians , the we the people band, but i , like marky dread, like Don Carlos so i hope for the best.6anbatte its your favourite vocal album, but you think i wont like it..just curious as to why?Maybe cos you think the cd may be naff quality sound??

Nothing wrong with that cd issue at all.
It was released under direct license from Negus Roots themselves.
High volume, well recorded disc IMOpinion.

Well, there definitely is with the CD I have. I'll look at it tonight and let you know the details. I was very unhappy when I received it.

Maybe I shouldn't have used the term "iffy". It may be legit, but looks like a homemade CD-R to me. Maybe I was just unlucky. I bought it through Amazon and actually complained to them about it.

The cover looks as if it's merely a photocopy on my copy and the label looks as it is has been stuck on by hand. Mine definitely doesn't *look* like a "high volume" product. As I say maybe I was unlucky.

Well, the cover is just an old stock photo of the man.
It probably is a photo copy.
The paper/ink and layout is professional however, small liner notes, etc...

Disc itself looks extra official. No mistaking it for a CD-R.
