Can you tell me anything about this wonderful artist. A biography or something? A friend told me that he is dead? Is it true?

Yes - I,
A friend of mine has a compilation album with Lacksley Castell's "Tug-A-War Games" on it (I think this WIKKID track only came out on 2 compilations). The sleeve notes of the album state that Lacksley "succumbed to illness" in the early-to-mid 1980s.
Pity.

Yes-I,
I don't know what the illness was...when I first heard he had died in the mid 80s, I assumed it was due to violence. Now that I know different, I feel kind of guilty for having assumed violence, but I guess the truth of the matter is that way-too-many of our musical prophets meet a violent end.

Yes, he has a wonderfull voice. i think some of the best tunes are produced from Augustus Pablo on the Rockers label. For example: Babylon World
or on orchid ยด"jah love is sweeter" (`79)
"princess Lady" on Negus roots (`83)
respect!
