Has it been officially announced that the USA is in a recession or is it still an argument as to whether or not it is or isn't in a recession?

as a citizen i havent heard the "official" report, but all signs point to YES... gotta love the secrecy and deception of the shitstem...

yes it is, but this time its different. as a citizen i believe that the recession is needed, sometimes it takes a really bad situation to make people come together on an issue and make a positive change. if we are all down in the dumps it is easier for all of us to unite and put aside our differences.

very good point greg. i think that it does cause people to look at the reality of the situation and make necessary changes (ones that could have been made much sooner btw...)
for instance, i have noticed a jump in the amount of people biking and walking in my city rather than drive and burn fuel. awareness is one the rise and people are becoming dissatisfied with the lousy state of governmental affairs and proceedings. from the ashes rises the phoenix...

Ya, it sucks trying to find a new job, while no one is hireing. Need some kind of reggae job!

I used to live ina US at the time of gulf war I.
Everyone was talking bout low economy, hard to find a job, especially for a foreigner. I started a job where I had to tear down a wooden house by hand. Then I worked with a tool and die maker, rennovated houses and worked for a freight forwarder in LA.
This felt like recesssion - small money for hard work.
I returned to Germany and earned 100% more for an easy student´s office job.

It's settled then. USA-ians move to Germany!

But first impeach that president.

Once they all move to Germany he'll only the be the President of Himself (which he basically IS right now).

...plus if we move we can catch some real roots concerts...
