Besides the Ini Kamoze version on Taxi, what other tunes run on this riddim?

Junior Reid "Boom Shaka Lack" on Jammy's 10" has similar bass line, but different mix?

Is Gregory Issac's tunes "Wailing Rudie" on this riddim?

Is there a D.Brown tune on this one?

Dennis tune called "Joy in the morning" released on Paradise. Yep, the jammys is a different cut but same tune. i'm not too sure about the Gregory piece.
There's a slight resemblance but I'd rather vote for "no, different riddim".

Chaka Demus has a deadly tune on this riddim, "Trample Them", I almost like it better then jr gongs.

Riddim is called 'World Jam' based off the ini song 'World a music'. Released on greensleeves. Riddim actually a bit different then jr gongs welcome to jamrock, *bit* faster, added drumming.

Anthoney B has a cover of the ini original on this riddim, on his album "Black Star". Another version is Bounty Killa's "Poor People"; only bounty song i like, probably cuz it ain't gansta lyrics.

Singer Blue has a wicked tune on the World riddim called "Never Stop Praise Jah" with Kenny Knotts on the flip side ..10" from The Dubateers..
No one can mess with the bass on that version..

Alpha Rowen did have a heavy cut on that called "hijack earth" probably the only cut i like aside Ini Kamoze.

gong jr said him and stephen made that version from a kamoze version on logic or something like that, pure cutting & looping, i find the version big but the intro ruins the whole track, it start off to fast.

shakalack rock by jr reid is a classic still, i lov it but the only version you can mix it to is dennis brown tune.

for the band version of the riddim which came out on 3,4 different label i must say i like the fattis burrel version most, that would be a relick of the old ini kamoze tune by himself, sizzla, chaka demus and some small artist.

anthony b version is the one i hate most, to me is pure sell out, on "bad 2000" label, there you find almost all tunes, bounty, degree, luciano, and like 14 more

alpha rowen hijack earth is on "Ancient Mystic" label. they have only that one cut.

then yu have Zagu Zarr "Welcome To England" on Big League label. a single tune sameway

almost all from 2005

now "Rastar" label made 2007 the latest version, they just changed the key but its the same riddim





and yeh, wailing rudie is not world jam. jus sound alike.

Hey come on man, you can't say Bounty only has Gangsta Lyrics. I really have to defend him here. He's called The Poor People's Governor for a reason. He wrote many lyrics to uplift di yout.

Anyway, world a music is a classic one of cause. It really would "deserve" more old school versions.

Maybe I'm wrong, a friend of mine is really into Bounty, so my opinion is based of the stuff hes played for me.
Gabranth, any Bounty album that has the lyrical spririt of "poor people" you'd recommend?

Sadly he has no albums with only political lyrics (afaik). I think he would have the abilities to do such albums. I once read that he would love to do so, but that most of his fans want him to do hardcore tunes (especially in JA at the moment). A sad thing that, though I can't deny that modern dancehall can entertain me sometimes.
