I have a friend who has one of these vapour-jobbies and he swears by them. Nowadays he rarely smokes joints.

But they do nothing for those of us who actually enjoy inhaling hot herb smoke!

Funny...I highly doubt these are Don's own words :

"One thing I really like about this Super Vapezilla is the ease of use. I've tried many other vaporizers and nothing compares to this machine. Its simple design creates an effortless and satisfying end-user experience."
Don Carlos, Legendary Reggae Artist

Sounds like a well scripted testimonial.
Not something the man that brought us 'Natty Dread Have Him Credential' would say. ;)

Take it from me Matthew, I've worked in Public Relations and these quotes almost NEVER come from the mouth of the alleged quoter. Instead they are crafted by some underpaid writer who gets about 1% of what the guy supposedly offering a testimonial got for endorsing the product.

What is worse is that the star endorsing the product often hasn't used it, or if he/she has, they didn't actually like it.

There's a few examples in sport. I once wrote for a motorcycle racer who had a deal with an Italian helmet factory. They paid him lots of money to wear their products. The problem was their helmets were crap and suffered badly from misting inside the visor. A major problem when you are head down on a 100mph lap of some racetrack. So this guy wore another brand of helmet with his sponsors brand sticker over the actual brand.

Same goes for celebrity writings. You read a story in a magazine supposedly written by this or that big star. Or this or that big star releases a book. VERY rarely have these stars actually written (or even read) the stuff they are supposedly to have written. Once again the stuff was penned by a usually poorly paid hack (writer).

Again, as an example I once ghost wrote for chap from a famous Madchester pop outfit who had a motorcycle column in an English 'lad's' magazine. He never wrote a single word of it and rarely had much idea about what I had written on his behalf. Someone revealed to me that he got paid about £1,000 per article. Whereas I got £100 for actually doing the work.

It's all bull****, frankly.

Interesting stories leggo.
I don't doubt what you say one bit.

Still can't get over how lame "Don's" ;) quote is.
"Its simple design creates an effortless and satisfying end-user experience."
Don Carlos, Legendary Reggae Artist

Hilarity!

I definitely think Don Carlos said that. Just imagine him saying it with the waterhouse wail over a tough radics rhythm and you see how it makes perfect sense ;)
