Finally decided to catalogue my entire collection ... what a job ...

artist or band name // track or lp name // riddim name // 7" 10" 12" LP CD DVD // year of release // year that i bought it // label // i even thought of adding a price column so i can track down what i spend on records ... but i know: I spend too much ...

but ... can't seem to track down some of the riddim names, i use Ernie B & jamrid

any recommendations on other sites?

greetings

Very nice Upright, been thinking about doing the same lately.
Huge task no doubt, but it would be nice to have it all organized on computer/paper.

Here's a couple links for riddims :

own number // year of release // artist // title // label // matrix/catalogue number
that's how I have built my own catalogue since writing them down in 1982

Once you create the catalogue, back it up right away, do not risk losing all the hours of work! Good luck!

artist - album - price paid - year of issue or recording (no rule :)) - label - matrix - where i found it - month and year i found it

total paid - average paid by LP :D

I'm lucky, I had the idea to do it when I began to collect so it's up to date easily !

I'm wweird in that I prefer to play 45's when listening, so I'm busy looking for the next tune. Get's my selector game up :)

Maybe we should start exchanging all of these cataloques to each other. I'm sure we'll find new items to buy, exchange.....sigh
