I use bidnip. It isn't free, but it just costs between 20 - 35 cents per winning bid. They ONLY charge if you win.

Beware! You'll win a lot of auctions if you use a bid tool!

Long time I have stood steadfast against this sniping business, but now I have decided to try it as everybody else is using it.

It is completely free, but I don't know yet how reliable it works.

I still use myself as a bid tool, heh waiting till the last 10 seconds but theres still others that get in there after me.

Never been too keen on these bid guys, but the bidnip guys seem good, they give you a few free go's i think?

Bidnip has been fantastic, and reliable.

Waiting for the last few seconds is OK but what if the record ends when you are out? And you will find it VERY hard to match a 3 second snipe.

And why exactly should you hold out against sniping? An eBay auction is most definitely a competition (every auction has a winner!) so why not arm yourself with the best tools, especially when everyone else is!

I have used it for a long time and its perfect. And free!

If i hold out i save more money like you said, it becomes very easy to win (+spend more then you can afford) if you know you *are* going to win.

If im out, its almost like another way for me to save the money, ebays addictive and i think if i used a tool it'd make me even worse!.

Anyway like you say Leggo, it is best to be armed up with the right tools of the trade.. Just make sure you have the money for it!

Oh yes, too true. When I first started with Bidnip I won so many auctions it surprised me - and almost broke me too.

Now I try REALLY hard never to look at eBay unless someone has posted some really great auctions here and I just HAVE to go look
