Howdy there, dub poetry specialists:)

Just want to ask: is this one worth buying? Is it as good as Check It???

...and...

What other albums could you recommend in this stylee???

Except for LKJ and Michael Smith, who I already admire:D

Thanks for help(tu)

I dont know the one you mentioned, but i think this is a very good dub poetry LP with various artists including Mutabaruka.I got it when it came out in 1983 and i see there has been a cd release in the 1990`s with dubs on it. check out the track listings for.

NO, not in the same vein as "Check It" which is an outstanding album. Some of the hardest pounding reggae riddims you will ever hear are on the Check It LP.

Whilst "Outcry" is a great LP it dont ramp with Check It for me, no chance.

There's a great 12 inch single he put out on the Alligator label here in the US called Junk Food and Johnny Drughead.

Features dub mixes with his great band---The High Time Players and plays at 45 RPM!

Alligator AL 501 (1983)
