It could be the 90s version by Dawn Penn called Night an Day produced by Augustus Pablo himself. It was released on 12". Not as good as the old Jacob Miller Version but still very nice. It's also on the same album as the You don't love me Sly Robbie version.

I did think this but im unable to find any soundclips of the dawn penn versions except the LP version which it is definetly not, as that has extra harmony singers and a few instruments added.

Any ideas?

Bullit - u have asked about this one over on B&F too? This is definitely the Colourbox 7" cut, played a little slow I think. I have both 7" and 12" versions and I am 100% sure about this.

I used to play this record to death when it came out, and Inyaki was right, it was very cutting edge at the time. This was the mix for the purists, while the 12" sample frenzy was for beatheadz everywhere, especially side 2: Looks Like We're Shy One Horse.

The Dawn Penn 'Night & Day' came out on a Warner Bros 12" with 2 Pablo mixed vocals and a murderous dub reminiscent of Dub Syndicate. This is definitely not that version. People do talk a load of bs when trying to let other people think they know about music!
