Sorry 'bout that, got locked into a groove. Just found an original copy of this LP the other day and was wondering if anyone knew who sings the vocal in Java PT 1 - Rasdragon and I were thinking it might be Chinna Smith cause he was at the session and it sounds like his voice, but if anyone has more concrete info which trumps our stoned musings I'd be down to hear it.

It's the Shining Star vocal I'm talking 'bout - why they called it Java Pt 1, I do not know.

as far as I know this album is extremely rare. where did you found it ?

i have an original copy from years ago too, i don't remember off hand until i hear it. but it has no track listing on the label itself, only on the cover.

I know, just going by the song titles on the back and the fact that sides are denoted on the matrices.

i forgot to add, my copy have another impact label pasted over the original too.

I think you mixed up things Jordan. I don't remenber any Shining Star riddim, but there is on this Java set a dub to the Heptones' Guiding Star tune. A melodica cut also exists called Guiding Red.

There are several verion of this set, with sometimes alternative mixes and various numbers of tracks. I have the details somewhere.
