Current Dub (in partucular) and Reggae - how yu feel 'bout it?

I'm very curious to know how the Roots Archive good people feel about current dub music - what moves them, what they think about it and how they find out about new stuff.
Full disclosure: I am a producer of Dub, ambitious beyond my means perhaps, but committed for several years to Reggae and Dub as my main music activity, production, release etc.
How do you see the future of Dub in particular?
For me Dub has become an integral part of my life, my mentality, my soul, the way I do things. It is always there. For most people I meet, work with (day job) etc. it is part of their lives too but they just don't know it!
Where is dub 'at' now?
My productions tend mostly toward the rootsy side - otherwise I wouldn't post here and I'll link some stuff so you can poke around as you choose.
Really wondering what a roots crew are 'hearing' that is current - and why and how? - and needless to say would like to promote my works in the process!
Looking forward to all input and abuse (hopefully not)
Bless and respect!

I like what Jahtari artists (
www.jahtari.org) are doing, but a lot of the thinly dub-related fads coming out of the UK do nothing for me.

I'm a vintage reggae fan, but I bought new UK dub style from time to time but I am very "choosy" and I listen to radio program strictly dedicated to new dub from Uk so I can pick up the records I like when I listenned to it on radio. Because When I'm selecting in a dance some tunes have a good impact on the crowd even it's from nowadays productons....So to sum up 10% of my collection is from new realeases But I plays it on my turn table a lot of times.
SFPE (sorry for poor english)
Radio program : roots level

Cool. That's a start!
Thanks both Dizzle and general bundi.
One question @General Bundi - what UK radio so I can contact them?
They'd probably fob me off but it is all John Peel's (RIP bless him) fault I'm a dub fiend!
Anyone else want to get 'partucular'?
I'd like to link to this at my own totally unread blog:
http://www.acetonestudio.blogspot.com/
because I do think there is good stuff happening and the new sounds are worth a listen. Context is another issue, but please give your thoughts.
I think my main concern here is the question of whether new dub material is reaching only 'new' dub listeners (who don't necessarily know what they are listening to and why and where it came from and all the rest) or if there is come sort of continuity with dub heads who really know their stuff - a continuum of sound mutation with a strict riddim spanning late 60's to present day.
Disclosure (again) I suspect I'm in the 2nd category. And I make new dub.

i like wildfiyah rootikal, jah warrior, bush chemists etc.
i think most of the new dubs are heavy, they don't usually have the soulful quality of the classics and that's sad but i still think it's good music!

I for one cant stand what they call "UK Steppers". Respect due to Russ D, Jah Warrior, Dougie etc for their works. I appreciate I am probably in the minority camp on this one but I just cant hack that polished, clean steppas ting.
As Fragga Ranks once said "profile nuh ramp" me no kin teeth
Just my 2 cents by the way

@Gingy Fly
I don't get it either - the whole UK Steppers thing - i don't think I even understand what it is - maybe for the reasons you mention.
I'm all for a nice dirty melody, a deep bassline, one drop - more in the 70s JA Dub sound sphere. Whether I get it right myself or not is another story...not meaning to copy or recreate either...
Sometimes I think my stuff is really focussed on the Rock Steady rhythms and sounds - hard to be objective.
Personally I have a big problem with 'Rhythm and Sound' out of Deutchland. What is up with that shit?
It is of great concern that Dub is becoming recognized as (if certain people have their way) more conceptual artform than MUSIC. I think we here know how wrong this is.
And believe me - I know the difference between the two.
And just to punch that point home - has anybody read the utter load of bumba clat shite that is 'Dub' by that Veal bloke? Bloody awful...
I intended to review it but I couldn't bring myself to lower myself to using the expletives and invective that such a poor effort deserved!

Hi ACEtone,
I just started producing too, and I'm totally in that "70's roots" mood, with ruff (imho...) dubs. Please check my first forthcoming releases :
