It seems it is used only in reggae sound system or reggae show....The question is does it exist as long as sound system exist or was there a sound system in particular who began to use it and made it popular in the dancehall ?

I have a tape "Metro Media london 85" with nuff nuff pull Up (with Peter Metro & Colonel Josie), I guess the first pull up inna dance was really earlier....

first dance i went to was 1980 and pull up was around then,so i'm sure it was around well before that

So maybe with the first big sound systems at the end of 60's, selectors played the tune twice (or more ) when they saw the crowd get mad with it

Coxsone had a soundsystem in the early 50s... He used American R&B tunes..

It must of started with the first DJs saying to the selector he wants the tune pulled back.

or
Pulled Back = Played over again a second time
Which is it????
