I am not to familiar with his work, I was thinking of picking up the album Sons of Slaves on Trojan as a starting point.

Is this album good or should I be starting elsewhere.

Advice required

Thanks

for an introduction this one is ok, Original guerilla music is also a very good compilation. I think his best album is Taste of the young heart.
He is a great artist with a very specific voice.

Actually, I am not that fond of Junior Delgado.

I don´t know if it is his voice or something else.

Without doubt, he has made some good singles, but I think he lacks something. Don´t know what though.

If you want a great compilation with Jux then pick up Treasure Found and More Treasure Found (I haven't heard the third part in the series so I don't know if that one is any good) since these two are VERY good introductions.

If you want albums, these are great;
+ Taste of the Youngheart
+ Bush Master Revolution
+ Effort

I think that one of the best records he made was "Reasoning" (it's only a few years old). One of the best roots albums since a long time.

Pick up an older album or cd and judge for yourself. I man personally like im, but fi some it may be a taste fi dem to acquire vocally speaking.

If you are a roots reggae fan surely you will love this album. I have 4 of his roots albums and they are all great albums.

JD, has a unique style which I really love. I would recommend the "Treasure Found" series as mentioned previously. They are great collections and a good introduction to his work.
