Sean Kingston, I read some where in the local newspaper that he does claim to be Jack Ruby's grandson. He had a hit called "Beautiful Girls" but it was awful, he's just a one hit artist.

well, It's not impossible most of these producers and artists have lots and lots of children, Bunny Lee more than 20, Hugh Mundell 3 at the age of 21.....Marley 9 or 10....

Regarding the idea that he's "awful" and a "one hit artist," that's probably unfair. In the context of this forum, where the core members expressly don't care for modern styles of Jamaican music, and are just now hearing about this artist even though his song was #1 in many countries *last summer*, I wouldn't expect more. But in reality, he has other chart songs and will probably continue to do very well in the pop music and dancehall music worlds.

I like dancehall music. The thing is that after viewing the birthday party he don't seems to be inna the dancehall movement at all. I haven't hear nothing inna dancehall style. All i have listen is the hiphop/r&b tunes. Also when he arrive at Jack Ruby studio there was no dancehall artist to welcome him there..the only dancehall artist in the party was Shaggy and nobody even seems dancing in that part..(that imo was the best part)

I was expecting some big name of the dancehall scene to show up and bring it but it didn't happend. When i realized that he was going to JA to celebreate his birthday y was thinking maybe Elephant, or TOK oe Vibz Kartel, maybe even Bling Dog...but i was let down by this impostor...:x (td)

The thing is Nefta, dancehall audiences tend to also like American hip-hop and R&B.

Yes but the people in JA never show it.The people dancing in the party was the people staying in the hotel. To me it was a weak party and Jamaican representation
