listening to dis song today after many months of not hearing it and was so moved i had to post something... it is pure communion with Jah, strict irie meditation, make i wanna cry of joy and love, yunno?

any other feels this too?

There´s sth. special in I Jah´s music. It´s warm, full of love and melodies. Think of his top lead guitarist and the great solo on Jah Heavy Load on the live over europe album. I saw him several times live. In the 90s, I met him, his wife and 2 children after a live set ina germany. Friendly, irie people.

that record is crumb swept from the Almighty's table. on par with Coltrane's A Love Supreme.

i man know love, i man is love love love...
heavy heavy tune. certainly didnt write it on a bus or in 10 minutes. a lot of his early albums have some very touching songs on them, to be loved by jah, thank you, the church, two sides of love etc etc. while writing these he must have been as close to spiritual perfection as you can get. after his release from prison, i'm sure that he viewed everything in a new light... things we take for granted everyday, like the beauty of nature, ijahman took the time to study it.

deep deep meditation. pity his work is often overlooked, but not in my yard

Yes! The one that does it for me though is "To Be Loved By Jah."

hail donbanyan, one of my favourite songs is 'to be loved by jah'. ijahman at his very best actually the 'africa' LP was the first album i got by ijahman, and i really liked it then, and still do.

Yeah Ital Kemar, Africa wasn't my first Ijahman album, but it is certainly my favorite.

Thanks to jahganja7 as well. After reading this thread, I took out Haile I Hymn, Are We A Warrior, and Africa, and played them all weekend. Nice!

nice, i pulled out 'I Hymn' after the thread about "moulding" appeared, so pass it along to whoever that was. i also rocked warrior, africa, and tell it to the children all weekend too!

I am always moved with sound of I jah man.I always mix melodies from 'Are we a warrior,Tell it to the children & Haile I Hymn'.Soul soothing indeed.
