Recently switched to Vista, but since doing so I have not been able to see my own posts !!
I can see my name as the most recent poster but when I want to read the thread soon after posting I cannot see my entry,,,,,,,,Weird !!!
I must confess i know very little about computers, but I never had this trouble with XP

Your problem is a very complicated one. It's called Windows Vista.
I've lost count of the number of Windoze friends who have switched back to XP after bad times with Vista.
I, of course, use a Mac and at times like this I just can't help feeling very smug with my choice of operating system
Windows computers are for people who really need to geek around ad nauseam with their PCs.
Whereas Apple Macs are for the rest of us who just want to use them for what they were made for.

What browser are you using?
If you are using Internet Explorer then does it make a difference if you change to Firefox?
IE isn't properly compatible due to flagrant and deliberate disregard for web standards by Microsoft, so it doesn't work properly with some sites!

its default media player -though good- dies after 2 weeks!! It suddenly stops playing some video formats, which it did previously without any settings changed.
