I've been coming to this site for quite a while and have been greatly helped by the wealth of information.

That being said, I've come accross a few inaccuracies (primarily misspellings and incorrect track order), and also a few times when albums I was trying to find here weren't here as expected.

My question: what is the best way to submit information for inclusion or correction? Is there any sort of format that will make it easier for the DB admin to process?

I also know that some things are excluded, I assume primarily due to the time period that they come from. I've also noticed some reissues that are of older content aren't included and I assumed it was because the DB admin didn't have time to search out their details and add them. If users had some sort of way (maybe some sort of form) so that they could assist with submitting some of these albums, it may take some work off the Roots Archives team.

roots archives is dedicated to the 1970-85 area, it may explain why you don't find albums that don't match these years.

but of course, a lot of albums are missing in our database. for now, we only list albums that i have had in my hands, so that i can check the track numbers, listen to the music and guess if it's 1970-85 related etc ...

it will probably change soon, but i don't know yet how to make people participate in the database, and more than anything, how to check what people have changed in tracklistings or other info.

as for corrections, you can send them via our contact form or post in the message board.

Is the album 'Augustus Pablo Meets Lee Perry at Black Ark' a Bogus album? I Confess , I really like this album's vibe and it's quite funny. The Riddims seem to be genuine: A couple of Black Ark mainstays and some Herman Chin-Loy's tracks, Some I can't identify right away. But... I've heard no antecedents to this style of toasting before by Perry or anyone. The Echo-plex style, too, seems too wild for 1978. It seems it would take more than a 4 track tape recorder to get those sounds. I would like to know if anyone of authority, knows where these tracks came from? On the 'Upsetter- Riddim Shower site' the album is listed as dubious. Any interest or answers?
