Does anyone know this song?

Heard a song a couple of days ago that caught my ear. Don't know the artist or name but think it might be from the 70s or early 80s. Anyway the only line that i know is from the chorus(i think)and is sung often throughout the song, "Nothing to do all day...and the baby is on the way..." Something like that, and its more of slow cruise root rather than fast and up beat. Also if it helps, in the song the guy talks about how his father has to steal food for the family and the mother sells herself as a harlot(sort of a sufferah's song i guess). Open to anything!
