Hi
I listend to Jah Is My Light (Extended) (ft. Ranking Simeon) by Robert Emanuel and I'm certain I have heard the riddim before, but I just don't know on which song at the moment.. I'm pretty sure u guys know it, what's the name?
second, the song "Ethiopians Going Home" by Zimbabwe Dread has the same riddim as "Mash Down Babylon" by Winston Jarret, what's the name of that riddim?
Thanks.

I haven't heard that Robert Emanuel tune, but my guess would be 'jah is my light' riddim by Al campbell...

Neither of these sound like popular rhythms to me. I didn't recognize either. Sorry I couldn't help.

Top 12" disco!
'Jah Is My Light' by Robert Emanuel & Ranking Simeon sounds like it was based on another Black Roots title - 'Jah Jah Never Sleeps' by Barry Brown.

The other side of the disco 'Never Get Away' has a bit of the 'Real Rock' feel about it.
