dreams of freedom, ambient translations of bob marley in dub by bill laswell, anyone heard this yet? i'm not a big dub lover, but this record does it for me. very nice treatment of some classics. check it out...

i wouldn't call it dub per se... more electronica maybe? i like that there are only background vocals and that there are so many selections from Natty Dread.

my 2 year old listens to it every night as he goes to sleep though (and has since he is a baby). so it's definitely a favorite in my house but not because it's a crucial dub.

check out laswell's trojan dub massive albums though - he uses the same siren sample dreams of freedom starts out with.
